APPROVING CHANGE ORDER gl
DOUBLE EDGE CONTRACTING, LLC -
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT DEMOLITION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the Borough of Carteret has previously
awarded a contract to Double Edge Contracting, LLC in the amount of $195,675.00
for the demolition of the sewage treatment plant; and
WHEREAS, the B orough's Consulting Engineer for the project, T & M Associates,
has advised the Governing Body that a modification to the contract is reasonable and
necessary and has recommended that the aforesaid contract be amended in
accordance with Contract Change Order gl, attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, Change Order gl includes a change in the description of work to
reduce and increase quantities to reflect as built conditions; and
WHEREAS, Change Order gl provides for a net reduction of the contract price in
the amount of $14,907.50 resulting in a revised contract price of $180,767.50; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer, T&M Associates, has advised that
the above described changes and/or modifications to the project were unforeseen at
the time of the award of the original contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borough Council of
the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
(1) Contract Change Order gl, attached hereto and made a part hereof,
providing for a net reduction of $14,907.50 in the overall contract price and
resulting in a revised total contract price of $180,767.50 is hereby approved.

(2) That the appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized and directed
to execute Change Order #1.
(3) That a copy of this Resolution and a fully executed copy of Change
Order #1 be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department and to T&M
Associates for distribution to Double Edge Contracting, LLC.
