A RESOLUTION RESCINDING THE CITY OF LYNWOOD'S NOTICE OF
WITHDRAWAL FROM INDEPENDENT CITIES RISK MANAGEMENT
AUTHORITY (IRCMA)
WHEREAS, the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority (ICRMA)
provides a variety of pooled insurance products to its member cities; and
WHEREAS, the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority (ICRMA) is a joint
powers authority which allows member cities to pool resources to support liability and
workers' compensation self-insured programs; and
WHEREAS, the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority (ICRMA) allows
member cities to group purchase other lines of insurance such as: Property, Auto
Physical Damage, Crime and Cyber coverage; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has been a member of the Independent Cities
Risk Management Authority (ICRMA) since 1986 and participates in the Liability,
Workers' Compensation, Property, Auto Physical Damage, Crime and Cyber Programs
with 15 other member cities from the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is currently an ICRMA Governing Board
Member and participates in various ICRMA insurance programs; and
WHEREAS, on June 4, 2019, the City Council adopted a resolution providing
notice of the City's intent to withdraw from ICRMA, which noted that the City Council
may rescind the resolution pending the outcome of the City's due diligence analyses of
its insurance program options; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood wishes to rescind Resolution No. 2019.049
adopted on June 4, 2019, which had noticed the City's intent to withdraw from ICRMA.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City rescinds Resolution NO. 2019.049 adopted June 4, 2019,
and will continue as a member of the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority
(ICRMA) when its membership period is renewed at 12:00am on July 1, 2020.

Section 2. That a copy of the Resolution shall be provided to the
Independent Cities Risk Management Authority (ICRMA).
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood at a regular meeting held on the 5th day of November, 2019.
