HomeMy Public PortalAbout2019.071 (07-02-19) RESOLUTION NO. 2019.071 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND THE MANAGEMENT AND GENERAL EMPLOYEES' SALARY SCHEDULES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted an Employee Classification and Position Plan and on occasion amends the plan as needed; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted a salary resolution with salary schedules for Management and General Employees'; and WHEREAS, the City has identified a need for the following positions; # of ACTION FTEs POSITION TITLE DEPARTMENT 1 Reclassify Water Operations Supervisor M56 to Water Service/Wastewater Public Works Supervisor M56 1 Reclassify Utility Manager M69 to Water Public Works Service/Wastewater Manager M69 0 Delete Utility Worker Public Works WHEREAS, the new classification Human Resources & Risk Specialist will provide greater flexibility in hiring to meet the City's human resource needs without increasing budgeted authorities; and WHEREAS, the required classification analysis has been completed and a classification statement has been prepared; and WHEREAS, the department conducted a salary survey using the ten benchmark cities as agreed to by LEA; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Amend the Employee Classification Plan and the Management Employees' Salary Schedule to include the new position, equity adjustment and the Additional Skill Pay as follows: Civil Service Employees — Leads & General Staff Class Title Current Proposed Salary Range Salary Range Human Resources and Risk N/A G45 Specialist 1 Equity Adjustment Current Class Title Salary Range MINIMUM SALARY MAXIMUM SALARY Building Offii l M-70 $9,418.42 $11,454.10 Deputy Dir. of Rec and Comm Services M-70 $9,418.42 $11,454.10 Skill Pay Telecommunication Equipment Equipment Cost Monthly Department Directors Cost of equipment equal to half $125.00 the value of a premium model smartphone offered by the City's carrier once every 30 months. Division Managers $200 one time cost for $90.00 equipment Field & Other Personnel $75.00 one time cost for $60.00 equipment Section 2. That the modifications so ordered by this resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
