A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND THE MANAGEMENT AND
GENERAL EMPLOYEES' SALARY SCHEDULES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted an Employee
Classification and Position Plan and on occasion amends the plan as needed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted a salary
resolution with salary schedules for Management and General Employees'; and
WHEREAS, the City has identified a need for the following positions;

WHEREAS, the new classification Human Resources & Risk Specialist will
provide greater flexibility in hiring to meet the City's human resource needs without
increasing budgeted authorities; and
WHEREAS, the required classification analysis has been completed and a
classification statement has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, the department conducted a salary survey using the ten
benchmark cities as agreed to by LEA; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amend the Employee Classification Plan and the Management
Employees' Salary Schedule to include the new position, equity adjustment and the
Additional Skill Pay as follows:

Section 2. That the modifications so ordered by this resolution shall become
effective immediately upon its adoption.

Council of the City of Lynwood, California, this 2nd day of July 2019
