HomeMy Public PortalAbout2019.106 (08-20-19) RESOLUTION NO. 2019.106 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING THE FY20 BUDGET FOR THE BUS SHELTER MAINTENANCE AND HSIP CYCLE 9 PROJECTS; AND APPROVING APPROPRIATIONS WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) authorized the use of Proposition A funds for the Bus Shelter Maintenance; and WHEREAS, operating expenses were inadvertently omitted in the adoption of the FY19 Budget for the Bus Shelter Maintenance; and WHEREAS, in January 26, 2019, the City was awarded federal funds under HSIP Cycle 9 for the following traffic improvements: 1) intersection of Imperial Highway and Atlantic Avenue ($225,900); 2) intersection of Alameda Street at Martin Luther King Boulevard ($460,900) and 3) intersection of Atlantic Avenue at Carlin Avenue ($324,800); and WHEREAS, additional appropriations are needed to successfully implement the above projects. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the City Council approve the following appropriation and revised revenue estimate for the HSIP Cycle 9 Projects: APPROPRIATION- HSIP CYCLE 9 Fund Dept Div Object Description Amount Budgetary Transfer Out 2353 Measure R Bonds $65,190 4011 HSIP $1,011,600 Budget Balance $1,076,790 Budgetary Transfer In 4011 TBD HSIP Cycle 9 (Imperial $247,630 Hwy. & Atlantic Ave.) 4011 TBD HSIP Cycle 9 (Alameda $482,630 St. and Martin Luther King Blvd.) 4011 TBD HSIP Cycle (Atlantic Ave. $346,530 Carlin Ave.) Total $1,076,790 UPDATED REVENUE PROJECTION Fund Dept Div Object Description Amount 4011 TBD HSIP $1,011,600 Budget Balance $1,011,600 Section 2. That the City Council approve the following appropriation for the Bus Shelter Maintenance: APPROPRIATION- BUS SHELTER MAINTENANCE Fund Dept Div Object Description Amount Budgetary Transfer Out 2301 Prop A $73,000 Budget Balance $73,000 Budgetary Transfer In 2301 45 615 1 Right of Way (Bus Shelter $73,000 Maintenance) Section 3. City Manager or his designee is authorized to use other eligible Transportation Funds in place of Measure R Bonds to conform to Metro's approval if needed. Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
