AWARDING CONTRACT FOR MILIK STREET OUTFALL
REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret requires the replacement of an outfall as
part of the Milik Street Resurfacing Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has solicited and received competitive quotes
for said services fi.om B&W Construction Co., A&J Construction Co., and
Tarheel Enterprises, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Tarheel Enterprises, Inc. has submitted the lowest quote for said
services as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough Engineer and
Borough Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above quotes and has
recommended the award of the contract for the replacement of the Milik Street
Outfall to Tarheel Enterprises, Inc.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with Tarheel Enterprises, Inc. for
the Milik Street Ouffall Replacement for the sum of $17,233.00 in
accordance with the Engineer's request for proposals for the same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the
Borough's Purchasing Department, the Borough Engineer and
Borough Attorney.
Adopted this 18th day of July, 2002
and certified as a true copy of the
original on July 19, 2000.
