SPECIAL MEETING 91-06 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF
COUNCIL HELD THIS EVENING AT 8: 15 P. M.

REPAIR TRUCK Two estimates were received for repair
of the dump truck. Estimates were as
follows :
1. Heberline Products : Price on fixing
beet box on GMC Truck, labor and
materials $1450. 00. If cylinders are
hurt internally, it would be at an
additional charge for parts.
1. Rice Welding : Estimate on repairing
truck box on 1972 GMC Truck, labor and
materials $750. 00. Cylinder repair
would be at additional charge.
MOTION WAS MADE BY TRUSTEE SHEETS, to
accept the proposal from Rice Welding.
All members voting YES
MOTION CARRIED
IRRIGATION SYSTEM Trustee Hovel met
with Randy Peterson, Affordable
Sprinklers. He appraised the sprinkler
system in Liberty Park, Wayside Park,
East Side Park, and the Cemetery. Two
valves need to be replaced @$230. 00.
Eight heads need to be replaced @$85. 00.
Two valves need to be back on system
@$335. 00. Six nonadjustable sprinkle
heads at the south end of Liberty Park
need to be replaced with six adjustable
Toro heads to water 250°. There are two

broken lines from the horseshoe court
improvements. There are a total of six
leaks in Liberty Park. Numerous heads
are leaking because the valves are not
shutting down. The are a total of nine
zones in Liberty Park. Way Side Park
need two or three heads replaced. There
is one soft water leak at Way Side Park.
The Cemetery has fifteen heads that need
to be replaced and adjustments made.
Eastside Park has three zones, with no
water to any of them. The problem
appears to be electrical. The lawn is
in very poor shape. Randy Peterson,
Affordable Sprinklers spent two and one-
half hours appraising the irrigation
system repairs and maintenance that need
to be done. His bid for these repairs
and adjustments is as follows :
Complete startup maintenance on the main
city park including remanufacturing
valve system number one using existing
heads and valve. Repair or replace
valve or controller on valve system
number two. Replace two heads on valve
system number three. Replace six heads
on valve system number four with
adjustable heads. Repair or replace
wire to valves nine and ten and repair
or replace valve number nine. Repair
five leaks detected throughout the park.
Replace three heads and fix one leak in
Wayside Memorial park. Replace eight
heads, reset to lower eleven heads and
adjust or repair several other heads in
the city cemetery. Rewire with existing
materials three valves and checkout for
other problems in the Eastside Park.
QUOTED PRICE $4, 100. 00
Affordable Sprinkling Venture works with
Anything Underground Company who would
be able to install the drinking fountain
in Liberty Park. MOTION WAS MADE BY
TRUSTEE MARSH, to accept the bid as
presented from Affordable Sprinkling
Venture, and the trenching work required
from Anything Underground Company. All
members voting YES

WATERING SCHEDULE MOTION WAS MADE BY TRUSTEE HOFF, to
implement the new tree watering schedule
for the 1991 season.
1. For the pine tree planted last year
deep water every seven days for the
duration of this growing season.
2. For the Colorado Blue Spruce planted
19 April 1991 in Liberty Park deep water
every three days until 1 June 1991.
Thereafter deep water every seven days
for the duration of this growing season.
3. For the new trees planted in the
Ault Cemetery deep water every three
days until 1 June 1991. Thereafter deep
water every seven days for the duration
of this growing season.
4. For all the trees mentioned above
maintain at least a thirty inch diameter
grass free area around each tree trunk.

MOTION CARRIED
RECYCLING DUMPSTER MOTION WAS MADE BY TRUSTEE HOOVER, to
allow Greeley/Weld Recycling Project to
place dumpster on cement behind the Town
Hall , adjacent to alley. Vote as
follows :

AGREEMENT The draft agreement between The Town of
Ault and Roger Prenzlow, owner of
Stewart Mobile Home Park was reviewed.
The agreement will be revised and
presented for approval at the next
regular meeting.
CEMETERY GRADING The Cemetery roads are the be graded
back to the poles while the grading work
is being performed.
ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 9 :25 P. M.
