A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING THE AGREEMENT FOR THE KILKENNY GROUP TO
PROVIDE COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTING SERVICES TO MANAGE
BROADCAST MEDIA INTERACTIONS AND OTHER PUBLIC
RELATIONS MATTERS FOR THE CITY OF LYNWOOD UNTIL JUNE
30, 2020 AND APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION OF $54,000 TO
COVER THE INCREASE FOR COST OF SERVICE.
WHEREAS, the Kilkenny Group has successfully provided Public Relations related
services for the City since February 2018; and
WHEREAS, the first amendment was made to the agreement on July 3, 2018 and
expired on June 30, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager deems it necessary to retain these services due to many
intensive media related matters and because of the influx in Public Relations needs.; and
WHEREAS, the agreement will cover the period starting July 1, 2019 and end June 30,
2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves and
authorizes the Mayor or designee to execute an amendment to the existing agreement
with the Kilkenny Group to provide communications consulting services to manage
broadcast media interactions and other public relations matters for the City of Lynwood
not to exceed $180,000.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood at a
special meeting held on the 16th day of July, 2019.
