AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM AMENDING THE 1952
ZONING ORDINANCE BY CHANGING THE BUSINESS DISTRICT TO RESI-
DENCE "A "; PRESERVING, HOWEVER, CERTAIN NONCONFORMING USES
WHEREAS, a meeting of the citizens and taxpayers of the
Town of Gulf Stream was called and held on March 2, 1966, to dis-
cuss zoning and other town problems and the question of changing
and upgrading the zoning of the business district was presented;anc
WHEREAS, the owner of all of the area zoned for business
except that part owned by the Town, has indicated his willingness
and has consented to having the business area, so designated on th
Zoning Map of the Town, changed to Residence "A "; and
WHEREAS, the Town Commission has decided that it is to
the best interest of the Town and its citizens that the business
area be rezoned to Residence "A ";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION
THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA:
Section One. The Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Gulf
Stream is hereby amended to change the presently zoned busi-
ness district shown on the official Zoning Map of the Town of
Gulf Stream, dated May, 1952, prepared by George S. Brockway,
Registered Engineer and Surveyor, from Business District to
Residence District "A ".
Section Two. Present usages of the Town Hall and the
stables, which are nonconforming in Residence "A" District,
• shall be permitted to continue as nonconforming uses in ac-
cordance with the provisions of nonconforming uses allowed by
Section VII of the Zoning Ordinance.
Section Three. The Town Clerk is authorized and di-
rected to make, or cause to be made, such appropriate change
of designation of zoning on the official Zoning Map of the
Town.
Section Four. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its approval as required by law.
