and non-profit entities and the City to beautify public spaces.
Section 2.0: Scope

property as well as those private and non-profit entities that/who agree to partner

Section 5.0: Procedures
5.1 Identification of public property for participation in this program
The City will identify those areas that are prominent and would be
appropriate for this program. Public spaces can include parks, leisure ways,
traffic islands, properties where City buildings are located, etc…
5.2 Safety Protocols
The location of the traffic islands and similar areas by their very nature pose
a higher risk to the safety of persons working in those areas. The
Department of Public Works will be provide written protocols and training for
anyone who will be working in these higher risk areas. Appropriate safety
garments and traffic safety devices in accordance with the MUTCD must be
in place and used when maintenance operations are underway within public
ways.
5.3 Workers Compensation Insurance Coverage
Employees of private and non-profit sector entities are expected to carry
workers compensation insurance coverage for their employees in accordance
with the applicable sections of NH RSA 281-A. For those entities that are not
required to have workers compensation insurance coverage and volunteer
organizations, the City has limited insurance coverage for listed volunteers.
In order to be covered by the City’s limited workers compensation insurance,
personnel working on beautification projects must complete and submit a
form to become a listed volunteer.
