Minutes of the Committee of the Whole Workshop of the President and the Board of Trustees Held on October 12, 2015 In the Boardroom Mayor Collins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present were: Mayor Collins, Trustee Peck (7:01 p.m.), Trustee Racich, Trustee Wojowski, Trustee Bonuchi, Trustee Lamb, and Trustee O'Rourke. Others present: Brian Murphy, Village Administrator; Traci Pleckham, Management Services Director; Allen Persons, Public Works Director; Michael Garrigan, Planning Supervisor; Ken Goska, Interim Building Supervisor; and John Konopek, Chief of Police. There were approximately 2 persons in the audience. Trustee Peck arrived at 7:01 p.m. Trustee Lamb moved to approve the Minutes of the Committee of the Whole Workshop held on September 28, 2015. Seconded by Trustee Racich. Vote by roll call. Peck, yes; Racich, yes; Wojowski, yes; Bonuchi, yes; Lamb, yes; O'Rourke, yes. 6 yes, 0 no. Motion carried. PRESIDENTIAL COMMENTS No Comments. TRUSTEES COMMENTS Trustee O'Rourke asked for an update regarding snow plowing. Mr. Persons stated that salt has been delivered and request for bids have been published. Mr. Persons commented on some of the changes that have been made, including language regarding performance. PUBLIC COMMENTS None. WORKSHOP #1 2016-2017 DRAFT FISCAL YEAR BUDGET Mrs. Traci Pleckham, Management Services Director, gave an overview of the General Fund Revenues and expenses including state revenues, sales tax revenues, property tax revenues, building permit revenues, salaries and wages, benefits, utilities, supplies and commodities, contractual services, and other expenses. Mrs. Pleckham also reviewed the general fund fiscal year forecast and staffing schedule. There was some general discussion regarding staffing needs. It was the consensus of the Board, if the budget permits,to proceed with 3 new hires including an Economic Development person and two (2) police officers. Mayor Collins read the reminders. Trustee Racich moved to adjourn. Seconded by Trustee O'Rourke. Voice Vote. All in favor, 0 Opposed. eting adjourned at 7:44 p.m. // Michelle Gibas, Village Clerk
