Coyne , Manag ement Analyst SUBJECT: TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION ACTIONS - MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 10,2014 RECOMMENDATION: The City Council is requested to receive and file the Transporta tion and Public Safety Commiss ion (Com miss io n) actions from th e ir meeting of September 10 , 2014 . BACKGROUND: On September 10 , 2014 , the Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting . ANALYSIS: Followi ng is a summary of actions taken at the August 27 , 2014 meeting: 1. ROLL CALL : Present: Commissioner -Clift, Chairman Redmond , Stratis Absent: Commissioner -None Excused : Commissioner -Vice -Chairman Haddad, Nimri 2 . APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Commission approved t he minutes of their August 27 , 2014 meeting . City Council October 7 , 2014 Page 2 of 2 3 . PARKING CITATION HEARINGS The Commission held five hearings in person , and upheld the citations . The Commission rev iewed two hearings requested by written declaration , upheld one , and dismissed one . 4 . NEW BUSINESS A. INSTALLATION OF NEW SCHOOL ZONE CROSSWALK AND STOP CONTOL AT GRAND AVENUE AND DALEVIEW AVENUE The Commission heard a presentation by Transtech Engineers , Inc . regarding a proposed crosswalk and stop control installation at Grand Ave . and Daleview Ave . The Commission unanimously approved and forwarded the proposed crosswalk and stop control installation to the City Council. CONCLUSION: The City Council is requested to receive and file this report . FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2014-15 City Budget.
