SUBJECT: PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION ACTIONS-MEETING OF
SEPTEMBER 17, 2014
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Parks and Recreation Commission
actions from their meeting of September 17, 2014.
BACKGROUND:
On September 17, 2014, the Parks and Recreation Commission held their regularly
scheduled meeting.
ANALYSIS:
Following is a summary of actions taken at the September 17, 2014 Parks and
Recreation Commission meeting:
1. ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioner-Fish , Georgino, Lopez, Vice-Chairman Rosso ,
Chairman Haddad
Absent: Commissioner -None
Excused : Commissioner -None
2. CONSENT CALENDAR
The Parks and Recreat ion Commission approved the minutes from their Regular
Meeting of July 16 , 2014 and Special Meeting of July 31 , 2014 and received and
filed the monthly reports for July and August 2014.

3. NEW BUSINESS
A. REQUEST FROM MEDTOR, IN C . FOR RESERVED USE OF CERTAIN
GRASS AREAS AT TEMPLE C ITY PARK FOR PARK DAYS FOR
PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ON JANUARY 17 , MARCH 14 , AND MAY
16 ,2015
The Commission approved the request subject to payment of all fees and
deposits and approval of the required insurance endorsement.
B . REQUEST FOR CONSIDERATION OF A FEE WAIVER FROM THE
AMERICAN INDIAN COMMUNITY COUNC IL FOR RESERVED USE OF
THE LIVE OAK PARK COMMUNITY CENTER FOR A BINGO FUNDRAISER
EVENT ON OCTOBER 18 , 2014
The applicant withdrew their request.
4 . MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS
A. The Comm ission received and filed the Parks and Recreation D irector 's
Report for September 2014 .
B . The Comm ission received an update on the Parks and Open Space Master
Plan and received and field the report .
CONCLUSION :
The City Council is requested to receive and fi le this report.

This item does not have an impact on the Fisca l Year (FY) 2014-15 C ity Budget.
