Home My Public Portal About11-15-2017 Minutes Tree Board Regular meeting Page | 1 MINUTES TREE BOARD Wednesday, November 15, 2017 9:00 a.m., Cates Creek Park 1445 Cates Creek Parkway Hillsborough, NC 27278 Present: Chairperson Andrea Lewis, George Campbell, Tim Logue, Bryan Stuart, Liz Waters and Greg Yavelak (ex officio) Absent: Vice Chairperson Frances Harris and Casey Collins Guests: Justin Bennet, Tommy Fradenburg ITEM # 1: Call to order, roll call, and confirmation of quorum Chairperson Andrea Lewis called meeting to order at 9 am. ITEM # 2: Additions to the agenda and agenda adjustment There were no adjustments to the agenda ITEM # 3: Arbor Day 2017 celebration and tree planting at Cates Creek Park Mayor Tom Stevens read the Arbor Day Proclamation. Justin Bennet of the North Carolina Forest Service awarded the Hillsborough Tree Board the Tree City status for 2017. Bryan Stuart spoke about the American basswood tree that he donated for the Arbor day planting. Members of the Tree Board planted the new basswood tree and watered it in. ITEM # 4: Adjourn Chairperson Andrea Lewis adjourned the meeting at 10:30 am.
