It is hard for me to realize that the time has come to retire from my service with the City of
Tybee Island. It is difficult to leave this position and the City of Tybee family. Please accept this
as formal notification of my retirement as of March 3, 2017. I am giving more than four months'
notice to ensure a smooth transition.
Time has passed so swiftly since May 10, 2006. Yet here it is, nearly eleven years since my
journey as Tybee Island City Manager began. I have enjoyed my years with the City of Tybee for
so many reasons, far too many to list them all here. I will miss the family you and the entire
island have become, all working for the good of our city.
I thank you most sincerely for all the opportunities and experiences I have had over these years.
I am most proud of the accomplishments, projects and positive change for Tybee during my
tenure as City Manager.
I am looking forward to my retirement but will genuinely miss our City and our people. I wish
only the best for the City of Tybee, its employees and our islanders. I look forward to doing
what I can to facilitate the transition.
