AWARDING CONTRACT FOR ROOFTOP AIR CONDITIONING UN1T
WHEREAS, the rooftop air conditioning unit servicing the Carteret
Police Facility has broken down; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has been advised that said air
conditioning unit is not repairable; and
WHEREAS, the lack of air conditioning in the Carteret Police Facility
during the present heat wave creates a potential health and safety concern; and
WHEREAS, given the emergem nature of the situation, the Borough has
solicited informal quotes for the replacemem of the rooftop air conditioner located
at the Carteret Police Facility; and
WHEREAS, Aerco, Inc. has submitted the lowest responsible quote in the
amount of $27,300.00.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that a
comract be awarded to Aerco, Inc. for the replacement of the rooftop air
conditioning unit at the police facility for a total amount not to exceed
$27,300.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be
forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department.
