A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH
PCAM, LLC IN A FORM APPROVED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY AND
APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION OF $25,000 FROM THE
PROPOSITION A FUND FOR FY20 TO COVER THE INCREASED
COST IN FIXED ROUTE TRANSIT
WHEREAS, on January 7, 2020, the City Council approved to award a contract
to PCAM, LLC for the management and operation of the City's fixed route municipal
transit service; and
WHEREAS, staff received communication from MV Transportation, Inc. that they
can only grant the City a two-month extension; and
WHEREAS, to ensure there is no lapse in service, immediate execution of the
Agreement with PCAM is necessary for PCAM to start service on April 1, 2020; and
WHEREAS, because of the expedited review, staff recommends that the City
Manager or his designee and City Attorney are allowed to make changes to the
Agreement prior to execution.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager or his designee
and City Attorney to make changes to the proposed Agreement as necessary.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute the Services
Agreement by and Between the City of Lynwood and PCAM, LLC attached hereto as
Exhibit A in a form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Lynwood, California, this 21stday of January 2020.
