AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF TWO AMBULANCES
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret requires two new ambulances to
serve the residents of the community; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has solicited and received
two bid proposals for the purchase of two ambulances as follows:
1. Paul D. Vickery & Co. $149,900.00
2. Elizabeth Truck Center $157,493.00
WHEREAS, Paul D. Vickery & Co. submitted the lowest bid for said
equipment as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough
Purchasing Agent; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has reviewed the above bid
proposals and has recommended the award of a contract to Paul D.
Vickery & Co.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with Paul D. Vickery & Co. to
furnish two (2) ambulances for the sum of $149,900.00, in
accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and bid on
sanle.
Adopted this 30th day of July, 2002
and certified as a true copy of the
original on July 31, 2002.
