ORDINANCE NO. 75 -401 -A
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING SECTION 4265.3 OF THE TEMPLE
CITY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO GAMBLING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Section 4265.3 of the Temple City Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 4265.3. Games Prohibited.
A person shall not:
a) Deal, play, carry on, or conduct,
i) Any game where players bet or
wager money, checks, credits or
other things of value against
each other; or
ii) Any game of chance for money,
checks, credits or other things
of value.
b) Bet or wager at or on any such game.
c) Permit any game prohibited by sub-
sections (a) or (b) to be played,
conducted, or dealt in any house or
other premises owned by, rented by or
in lawful possession of such person.
Provided, however, that no provision of this
section shall be deemed or construed as prohibiting
any act made unlawful by the provision of Section 320,
or of Section 320a, or of Section 330, or of Section
337a of the Penal Code, or of any other code section
or general law of the State of California, it being
the intent of the City Council to prohibit by this
Section all gambling herein described, not otherwise
prohibited by the provisions of any law of this State.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City
shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance
and to its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to
be published in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of
Temple City.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance
No, 75- 401 -A, was introduced at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Temple City, held on the 15th day of
April, 1975, and was duly passed, approved and adopted by said
Council, approved and signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk at a regular meeting of the said City Council held
on the 6th day of May, 1975, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen - Dennis, Greenberg, Merritt, Tyrell, Gilbertson
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen -None
