AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
ADOPTING REVISIONS AND RECODIFICATION OF
THE ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY. SAID REVISIONS
ARE ENTITLED "MUNICIPAL CODE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY" AND "ZONING CODE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY"
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby adopted by the City of
Temple City that certain Code entitled "MUNICIPAL CODE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY" and that certain Code entitled "ZONING CODE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY ", containing certain ordinances of a general
and permanent nature as compiled, consolidated, revised,
codified and indexed in the following chapters, namely,
Articles I to III, and Articles V to VII, inclusive, and
Articles IX and IV, inclusive, of which Codes not less than
three copies have been and are now filed in the office of the
City Clerk and which is hereby referred to and adopted by
reference as if incorporated and set out in length in this
ordinance under the provisions of Government Code Annotated,
Sections 50022.1 to 50022.8.
SECTION 2. That the provisions of such Code shall be in
force on and after April 1, 1976, and all provisions of the
existing Code, not contained in such Code, are hereby repealed
except as hereinafter provided.
SECTION 3. That the repeal provided for in the preceding
section of this ordinance shall not affect any offense or act
committed or done or any penalty or forfeiture incurred or
any contract or right established or accruing before April 1,
1976; nor shall such repeal affect any ordinance or resolution
promising or guaranteeing the payment of money for the City or
authorizing the issue of any bonds of the City or any evidence
of the City's indebtedness, or any contract or obligation
assumed by the City; nor shall such repeal affect the adminis-
trative ordinances or resolutions of the Council not in
conflict or inconsistent with the provisions of such Code;
nor shall it affect the annual tax levy; nor shall it affect
any right or franchise conferred by ordinance or resolution
of the City on any person or corporation; nor shall it affect
any ordinance relating to the salaries of City officers or
employees; nor shall it affect any ordinance annexing terri-
tory to the City; nor shall it affect any ordinance naming,
opening, accepting or vacating streets or alleys in the City;
nor shall it affect any ordinance relating to state employees'
retirement contracts; nor shall it affect any ordinance
establishing special and general City funds; nor shall it affect
the Fire Code, the Uniform Building Code, the Uniform Plumbing
Code, the Uniform Electrical Code or the Housing Code; nor
shall it affect any prosecution, suit or proceeding pending
or any judgment rendered on or prior to the 1st day of April,
1976; nor shall it affect any ordinance passed after April 1,
1976; nor shall it affect any ordinance relating to stop
intersections, through streets, one -way streets, truck routes
and routes for commercial vehicles or parking limitations or
restrictions.
SECTION 4. That any violation of any provision of such
Code shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $500.00 or
imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, or by both
such fine and imprisonment.

SECTION 5. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City
shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and
to its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be
published in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and - circulated in the City of
Temple City.

I, Chief Deputy City Clerk of the City of Temple City,
do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance
No. 75 -403, was introduced at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Temple City, held on the 17th day of
February , 1976, and was duly passed, approved and adopted
by said Council, approved and signed by the Mayor and attested
by the City Clerk at a regular meeting of the said City Council
held on the 2nd day of March , 1976, by the following
