AWARDING BID FOR ROOSEVELT AVENUE PUMP STATION -
VFDs AND CONTROL PANEL REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council has previously authorized the Borough
Engineer to prepare bid specifications for VFDs and Control Panel Replacement
at the Roosevelt Avenue Pump Station; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received two bid proposals for the
installation of VFDs and Control Panel Replacement, as follows:
1. Quality Electric Construction Co. $184,389.00
2. P & H Contractors $207,100.00
WHEREAS, Quality Electric Construction Co. submitted the lowest bid for said
equipment as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has
recommended the award of a contract to Quality Electric Construction Co.
WHEREAS, the Borough's Chief Financial Officer has certified that'finds are or
will be available to award said contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with Quality Electric
Construction Co. to install VFDs and Control Panel Replacement
at the Roosevelt Avenue Pump Station for the sum of $184,389.00,
in conformance with the bid specifications and contract documents
in all respects.
Adopted this 15th day of August, 2002
and certified as a true copy of the
original on August 16, 2002.
