A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING TO RECEIVE AND FILE THE WATER AND WASTEWATER
VALUATION REPORT PREPARED BY RAFTELIS
WHEREAS, the City's water assets include roughly 95 miles of water pipelines of
different materials, five active wells, one booster pump station, one reservoir, several
vehicles, GAC Treatment and SCADA system; and
WHEREAS, the City's wastewater assets include roughly 80 miles of wastewater
pipelines, vehicles and approximately 1,700 manholes; and
WHEREAS, on March 5, 2019, the City Council awarded a contract to Raftelis to
prepare a valuation of the City's Water and Wastewater Systems; and
WHEREAS, Raftelis has provided a wide range of valuation services, completing
more than 40 utility valuation analyses over the past 15 years; and
WHEREAS, the Water and Wastewater Valuation Report issued on November 1,
2019 is ready for City Council's consideration to receive and file.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE,CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council considers the Water and Wastewater Valuation
Report prepared by Raftelis attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 2. That the City Council receives and files the Water and Wastewater
Valuation Report.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
