A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A FORMAL POLICY STATEMENT BY THE VILLAGE OF
PLAINFIELD FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A LOSS PREVENTION PROGRAM AS A MEMBER
OF THE SOUTHWEST AGENCY FOR RISK MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield maintains that its residents
and employees are its most important assets; and
WHEREAS, their health and safety should be the utmost consider-
ation in all assignments; and,
WHEREAS, an effective loss prevention program is an integral
part of management procedures, designed to fully utilize municipal
capital and personnel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Plainfield, Will County, Illinois, as
follows :
SECTION ONE: That the Village of Plainfield, through its
Southwest Agency for Risk Management Representative, develop, immple-
ment and administer an all encompassing loss prevention program.
SECTION TWO: That all municipal employees are expected, as a
condition of employment, to adopt the concept that the safe way to
perform a task is the most efficient and the only acceptable way.
Safety adherence and performance will be considered an important
measure of employee performance evaluation.
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect upon its adoption and approval as provided by law.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 4th day of January 1988 .
