AWARDING CONTRACT FOR INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER
MONITORING
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret requires that wastewater discharge
samples from the significant industrial users within the Borough be analyzed on a
monthly basis; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has solicited and received tbrmal
competitive quotes for said services as follows:
1. Garden State Laboratories $17,496.00
2. QC Laboratories $18,536.00
3. STL Edison $29,540.00
WHEREAS, Garden State Laboratories, 410 Hillside Avenue, Hillside,
NJ 07205 was the lowest quote for said services as evidenced by the response
received by the Borough's Engineer, T & M Associates; and
WHEREAS, T & M Associates has recommended the award of a twelve
(I 2) month contract to Garden State Laboratories, Inc., based on their low quote
and their satisfactory service with this program over the past several years; and
WllEREAS, the Borough's Chief Financial Officer has certified that
funds are available for said contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council
of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The appropriate Borough officials are authorized to enter into a
contract with Garden State Laboratories of Hillside, NJ to perform laboratory
sampling and testing of industrial wastewater discharges for the one year period
for the sum of $17,496.00 in conformance with the solicitation of quotes for the
same in all respects.
