AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
T&M ASSOCIATES -
YEAR 2002 ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
~VHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering
services with regard to project oversight, contract administration and field
inspection services with regard to the Year 2002 Road Improvements Program;
and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the project, T&M
Associates, possesses the requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Donald J. Norbut, P.E., C.M.E. of T&M Associates has submitted a
proposal to provide said engineering services at a total cost not to exceed
$69,600.00 for project oversight, contract administration and field inspection
services for the Year 2002 Road Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal;
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of Nexv Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from Donald J. Norbut, P.E., C.M.E. of T&M Associates for
project oversight, contract administration and field inspection services for the
Year 2002 Road Improvements Program at a total cost not to exceed $69,600.00
for the various project elements as set forth herein above, at the hourly rate set
forth in T & M's existing contract with the Borough is hereby approved.
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on August 16, 2002.
