AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING SECTIONS 9391(B) AND 9401(B) OF
THE "TEMPLE CITY ZONING CODE" "RELATING TO
MINIMUM LOT WIDTHS IN THE COMMERCIAL
ZONES AND DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF
AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL,TAKE IMMEDI-
ATE EFFECT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. That Paragraph B of Section 9391 of the
Temple City Zoning Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"B; Lot Width. Each lot in the C -2 zone
created after the effective date hereof shall have
a minimum lot width of not less than 50 feet; pro -
vided, however, that such minimum lot width shall
not apply to any lot created as part of a subdivision
for a commerical shopping center where reciprocal
access easements are eld over all or a portion of
said lot by all other lots in such subdivision."
SECTION 2, That Paragraph B of Section 9401 of the
Temple City Zoning Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"B. Lot Width, Each lot in the C -3 zone
created after the effective date hereof shall have
a minimum lot width of not less than 50 feet; pro -
vided, however, that such minimum lot width shall
not apply to any lot created as part of a subdivision
fora commercial shopping center where reciprocal
access easements are held over all or a potion of
said lot by all other lots in such subdivision."
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an
urgency ordinance, and shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption pursuant to Section 36937 of the Government
Code. .A statement of the facts constituting the urgency .
hereof is as follows:
(a) That the flexibility created by the
aforesaid amendment is necessary for the estab-
lishment and reasonable operation of commercial
shopping centers within the City; and
(b) That any delay in the adoption or
effective date of said amendment would unduly
hamper, delay, or possibly prevent the location
of such establishments and facilitielwithin the
City; and
(c) That said delay or possible loss of the
establishment of said facilities within the City
would be detrimental to the public interest, con -
venience and welfare; and
('d) That this Ordinance is necessary for
the immhediate preservation of the public peace,
health and safety.

SECTION 4, The City Clerk of the City of Temple City
shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance
and to its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to
be published in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of
Temple City.

ordinance at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Temple City, held on the 1st day of July ,
1975, and was duly passed, approved and adopted by said
Council, approved and signed by the Mayor and attested by
the City Clerk by the following vote of the Council:
