ORDINANCE NO. 75 -407
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING SECTIONS 9326 AND 9321 OF`THE
TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL SI GNS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of
Temple City does hereby find, determine and declare:
(a) That the City of Temple City has hereto-
fore adopted a comprehensive sign ordinance relating
to the regulation of signs within all zones of the
City of Temple City; and
(b) That the City Council has heretofore
determined that it is in the public interest to
amend certain provisions of said sign ordinance;
and
(c) That the public interest, convenience
and necessity require the amendment of the Temple
City Municipal Code in the manner hereinafter set
forth.
SECTION 2. That Paragraph (1) of Section 9326 of the
Temple City Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"(1) The following . signs shall be permitted
on property zoned C -1, C -2, C -3, M -1 or M -2 :"
SECTION 3. That Paragraph (5) of Section 9326 of the
Temple City Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"(5) Temporary window signs painted or
attached to the surface of windows shall be
permitted on ground floor windows only, and
shall not exceed a total of 25% of the com-
bined window area of all ground floor windows-."
SECTION 4. That Paragraph (15) of Section 9231 of the
Temple City Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"(15) Temporary Signs shall include any
permitted sign, banner, pennant, valance or
advertising display constructed of cloth, can -
vas, light fabric, cardboard, wallboard, or
other light materials, with or without frames,
intended to be displayed for a period of not
to exceed thirty (30) consecutive days. All
other signs shall be deemed non - temporary."
SECTION 5. That Paragraph (6) of Section 9326 of the
Temple City Municipal Code is hereby repealed.

SECTION 6. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City
shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance
and to its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to
be published in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of
Temple City.

meeting of the City Council of the, City of Temple City, held
on the 1st day of July , 1975, and was duly
passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved and
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a
regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 15th
day of July , 1975, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Dennis, Greenberg, Merritt, Gilbertson
NOES: Councilmen- None
ABSENT:Councilmen - Tyrell
