Councilman Presents the following Ordinance Seconded by Councilman
AMENDING SECTION 254-37 "SCHEDULE XIX: NO PASSING ZONES"
OF CHAPTER 254 ENTITLED VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC OF THE CODE
OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret,
County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
Section 1. No passing zones shall be and are hereby established and
maintained along Milik Street (from Blair Road to Bryla Street)
and Bryla Street (from Milik Street to Minue Street) in the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, as authorized by the N.J.
Department of Transportation on May 29, 2002.
Section 2. Section 254-37. Schedule XIX; No Passing Zones of the Code
of the Borough of Carteret is hereby amended and supplemented to
include the following:

Milik Street Both Between
Blair Road and
Bryla Street
Bryla Street Both Between
Milik Street and
Minue Street
Section 3. All Ordinances and/or provisions thereof inconsistent with
the provisions of this Ordinance shall be and are hereby repealed
as to the extent of any such inconsistencies.
Section 4. If any section, subsection, part, clause or phrase of this
Ordinance shall be declared invalid by judgment of any Court of
competent jurisdiction, the section, subsection, part, clause or phrase
shall be deemed to be severable from the remainder of this Ordinance.

Section 5. A certified copy of this Ordinance establishing the above
designated no passing zones shall be forwarded to the Bureau of
Traffic Engineering and Investigations within the Department of
Transportation for approval by the Commissioner of the Department
of Transportation. This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and
approval by the Commissioner, Department of Transportation.
