RESOLUTION NO. 2020.034
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DECLARING A CITY OWNED VEHICLE AS SURPLUS
PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO DISPOSE OF' SAID
SURPLUS PROPERTY THROUGH A PUBLIC AUCTION.
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City to dispose of the surplus property
through a public auction; and
WHEREAS, the disposition of the vehicles declared as surplus under this
Resolution is made under the discretion of the City's Purchasing Officer pursuant to
Lynwood Municipal Code Section 6-3.14.
- NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1_ That pursuant to Lynwood Municipal Code Section 6-3.14, the
City Council declares certain city owned vehicles, as listed in Attachment A, as
surplus property.
Section 2. That the' City's Purchasing Officer or designee shall dispose of the
surplus vehicles pursuant to Lynwood Municipal Code Section 6-3.14.
Section 3, That any items deemed unsellable will be disposed of properly.
Section 4. That staff will solicit proposals from auctioneering companies and
select the most beneficial to the City following the Purchasing Ordinance No. 1571
parameters.
Section 5. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to appropriate
and transfer any proceeds from the disposition to the Garage Fund, Automotive
Equipment account number 7011.45.420.66025.
Section 6. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 7. That the City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this
Resolution.
