RESOLUTION NO. 2020.039
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVING AN
AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2020 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM BUDGET
WHEREAS, The City Council has previously approved a Fiscal Year 2019-2020
Capital Improvement Program Budget (FY 20 CIP); and
WHEREAS, the FY20 CIP is comprised of a list of specific projects with
designated budget resources from available Gas Tax, SB1, Measure M, Measure M
Bond, Lease Revenue Bond, water fund, sewer fund, Community Development Block
Grant funds and other resources; and
WHEREAS, Staff is recommending modifications to the previously approved
FY20 CIP for the following reasons: 1) to align CDBG appropriations with the Peach
Street Improvement and Le Sage Street Improvement project budgets; 2) to appropriate
adequate funding to complete Peach Street Improvement Project; 3) to remove Gas Tax
and Lease Revenue Bond funding from Wright Road Street Improvement project, which
is not yet ready for construction; 4) to switch funding source from Measure M Bonds to
SB1 for Virginia Avenue Street Improvement Project which comports to a previous City
Council approval on the use of SB1; 5) to switch funding source from Measure M to
Measure M Bonds for Bullis Road Improvement Project and Virginia Avenue/Olanda
Street Improvement Project to stay within the available fund revenues anticipated for
Measure M; and 6) to provide funding for the parking lots improvement at Sanborn
Avenue and Mulford Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves to amend the FY20 Capital
Improvement Program Budget attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 2. That the City Council approves the appropriation and budget
reduction attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
