RESOLUTION NO. 2020.049
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ACCEPTING DECORATIVE MONUMENT SIGNAGE PROJECT (CIP
NO. 4011.68.060) AS COMPLETE; AND AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF
THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
RECORDER'S OFFICE AND THE RELEASE OF THE 5% RETENTION
35 DAYS AFTER THE RECORDATION
WHEREAS, On January 29, 2019, the City awarded the contract to the lowest
responsible bidder R2Build, in the amount of $149,000.00 for the construction of the
Project; and
WHEREAS, the construction on the Project started on September 16, 2019.
The Project was completed on November 12, 2019.; and
WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $164,000.34, which includes three (3)
contract change orders in the total amount of $15,000.34 for additional work and bid
quantities (see attachment A); and
WHEREAS, staff conducted the final inspection on November 12, 2019 and
found that all work was completed in accordance with the project plans and
specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts the Decorative
Monument Signage Project No. 4011.68.060 as complete in accordance with contract
documents and authorizes the Director of Public Works or his designee to process the
recordation of the Notice of Completion.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3_ The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Lynwood, California, this 21St day of April, 2020
