AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING SECTION 7145 OF THE RECODIFIED
TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
PERIMETER FENCES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Section 7145 of the recodified Temple City Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
7145. Perimeter Fences.
1. The installation of any type of electrically charged
fence shall not be allowed in the City.
2. Installation of barbed wire shall be permitted in
any zone with the following conditions on perimeter or boundary
line fences:
L- shaped extension arms, of commercial
quality and design, must be attached to
the top of a minimum 6 -foot high fence
or wall and shall carry a maximum of
three strands of barbed wire; approxi-
mately 5 1/2 -inch centers in a plane
approximately 45 degrees from the vertical,
inclined inward from any property line.
3. No barbed wire fence authorized by Paragraph 2 above
shall be permitted until specifically authorized by the Planing
Director of Temple City.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City shall
certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and to its
approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published in
the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in the City of Temple City.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 7th day of October, 1975.

I, Chief Deputy City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance No. 75 -421, was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Temple City, held on the 16th day of September, 1975, and was duly
approved and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a
regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 7th day of October,
1975, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Dennis, Greenberg ,Merritt,Tyrell,Gilbertson
NOES: Councilmen- None
ABSENT: Councilmen- None
