Absent Lindaman. Motion by James second by Van Hauen to approve the minutes of the February regular meeting. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve the Treasurer’s Report for February. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Van Hauen to approve the following bills for payment. Motion by Van Hauen second by Nielsen to sponsor four community barn quilt signs. Cost to be 120.00. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve Ordinance 03-2007 an ordinance restricting parking during the months of November through March. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Van Hauen to waive the second and third reading of Ordinance 03-2007 and pass upon the first reading. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Hauen to approve Resolution 03-2007 a resolution awarding the lowest, most responsible bid to Huisenga Construction for projects four and five of the Housing Rehabilitation Program. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Van Heiden to set date for public hearing on the status of funds for the Housing Rehabilitation Grant. Public hearing will be held April 2, 2007. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Heiden second by James to approve a contract with Mosquito Control of Iowa for summer mosquito control. Cost to be $2950.00. All ayes, carried. At 7:20 p.m. the Mayor declared that this was the time and place for the Public Hearing on the FY 2008 Budget. Being there were no written or oral objections the Mayor closed the Public Hearing at 7:25 p.m.. Motion by James second by Van Heiden to approve the assignment of offer to buy real estate and acceptance to the Wellsburg Economic Development Corporation. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Heiden second by Nielsen to approve a building permit for Rick Groninga. All set back and side yard requirements must be followed according to Chapter 155 of the Code of Ordinances. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Van Heiden to approve the liquor license for the Meadowbrook Golf Course. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Nielsen to adjourn.
