WHEREAS, Amended Ordinance No. 39-1988 established the various positions and salaries for the officers and employees of the City of Richmond; and, WHEREAS, the Common Council approved the positions and salaries as set forth in Amended Ordinance No. 39-1988; and, WHEREAS, it is now necessary to reflect the job position or salary changes for Park Department as set forth in Amended Ordinance No. 39-1988; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana: SECTION t, That for the fiscal year beginning January 1,1989 and ending December 31, 1989 that the following appointed officers and employees of the City of Richmond shall receive the following salaries for their positions: Park Department Grnds/Bldg Laborer (6) LTC IV 14,222 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana this day of President of Common Council ATTEST: City clerk PRESENTED by me to the Mayor of the City of Richmond, Indiana this "'�e day of '1989. 22-2 City Cler APPROVED by me, Frank H. Bostrom-uperintendent of Parks and Recreation RE 1989 Salary Ordinance DATE: June 19, 1989 Attached is a copy of the request for leave of absence to join the military service submitted by Tracy Lee Boswell on December 16, 1985. Federal mandate requires that upon successful completion of the enlistment period that an employer provide the individual with a similar type job as when they requested the leave of absence. Tracy Lee returned to Richmond in January, 1989 to work for the Parks and Recreation Department as outlined in his request for leave of absence. A Grounds and Building Laborer position (LTC IV) was inadvertently eliminated from the 1989 Salary Ordinance. On January 31, 1989 Tracy Lee was rehired as a Grounds and Building Laborer, however, until last week I was unaware that the position no longer exists in the Salary Ordinance. I am requesting at this time that this position be reinstated into the Salary Ordinance.
