Home My Public Portal About054-1989-STRICKEN-ZONING - 3400BLK OF HODGIN ROAD ON THE NORTHSIDEORDINANCE NO. 54-1989 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 154 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING ORDINANCE NO.2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 3400 BLOCK OF HODGIN ROAD ON THE NORTH SIDE, FROM R-1 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO R- 2 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968 designates and describes as R-1 Single Family Residence District the property located in the 3400 block of Hodgin Road, on the north side, and, WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof, to change the zoning classification of said property from R-1 Single Family Residence District to R-2 Single Family Residence District; and, WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond City Plan Commission the ___day of ,1989, at which time remonstrances were heard from all parties interested in or affected by this Ordinance; and, WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was to___ in favor of/in opposition to recommending the passage of Ordinance No. 54-1989. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana as follows: SECTION 1. That the zoning classification of the property described below, and the same is hereby changed to R-2 Single Family Residence District and that said property be regulated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana and all amendments thereto. Beginning at a point in the south line of said Section 3 and in the centerline of Hodgin Road, said point being located South 89 degrees 38 minutes 05 seconds East a distance of 1624.73 feet from the southwest corner of the southeast quarter of said Section 3; thence North 0 degrees 21 minutes 55 seconds East for 301.09 feet to a point; thence North 89 degrees 38 minutes 05 seconds West for 213.76 feet to a point in the centerline of Scott Ditch; thence with the centerline of Scott Ditch, North 69 degrees 05 minutes 00 seconds East for 20.00 feet to a point; thence continuing with the centerline of Scott Ditch, North 23 degrees 05 minutes 00 seconds East for 340.00 feet to a point; thence continuing with the centerline of Scott Ditch, North 38 degrees 05 minutes 00 seconds East for 425.00 feet to a point; thence continuing with the centerline of Scott Ditch, North 50 degrees 27 minutes 05 seconds East for 45.12 feet to a point; thence South 89 degrees 29 minutes 57 seconds East for 489.20 feet to a point; thence South 0 degrees 21 minutes 55 seconds West for Ordinance No. 54-1989 Page 2 985.95 feet to a point in the south line of the southeast quarter of said Section 3 and in the centerline of Hodgin Road; thence with the south line of the southeast quarter of said Section 3 and the centerline Hodgin Road, North 89 degrees 38 minutes 05 seconds West for 720.00 feet to the point of beginning; and containing 16.623 acres. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as by law aquired.
