Home My Public Portal About062-1989- ORDINANCE AMENDED ORDINANCE 39-1988AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AMENDED ORDINANCE NO.39-1988 (1989 SALARY ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1989 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1989), WHEREAS, Amended Ordinance No. 39-1988 established the various positions and salaries for the officers and employees of the City of Richmond; and, WHEREAS, the Common Council approved the positions and salaries as set forth in Amended Ordinance No. 39-1988; and, WHEREAS, it is now necessary to reflect the job position and salary changes for the Park Department as set forth in Amended Ordinance No. 39-1988; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana: SECTION 1. That for the fiscal year beginning January 1,1989 and ending December 31, 1989 that the following positions be deleted from Amended Ordinance No. 39 -1 988: Park Department: WPS Director 1/2 (2) $6,315. SECTION 2. That for the fiscal year beginning January 1,1989 and ending December 31, 1989 that the following appointed officers and employees of the City of Richmond shall receive the following salaries for their positions: Park Department: WPS Director $12,630. Bostrom, Superintendent of Parks and Recreation DATE: August 15, 1989 RE: 1989 Salary Ordinance Amendment The Widowed Person's Service Board of Directors, along with the Parks and Recreation Department, have mutually decided that the current W.P.S. half-time Co -Director positions should revert back to a single full-time Director position. With the retirement of half-time Cc -Director Mildred Stombaugh the current work load is more than half-time Co -Director Doris Miller can handle. The amendment will not require additional funds, as the proposed full- time Director position salary will only equal that of the two half- time Co -Director positions. Furthermore, this position's salary is funded through the W.P.S. Board, with the Parks and Recreation Department only paying benefits.
