HomeMy Public PortalAbout065-1989- ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE CUMMULATIVE CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDAN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FUND WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 21-1987 created a Cumulative Capital Development Fund pursuant to Public Law 44-1984; and WHEREAS, I.C.36-9-16-3 allows the purchase or lease of land, buildings or rights -of -way for the use of any utility acquired or operated by the City of Richmond. The purchase or lease of motor vehicles for the use of the police or fire department, including ambulances and firefighting vehicles with the necessary equipment, ladders and hoses. The purchase or lease of equipment needed by the City of Richmond for any public transportation use: WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA; SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purposes specified. Said sum being subject to the laws governing the same. CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FUND These funds are to be appropriated for the following: 4000-Capital Outlays AMOUNT REQUESTED $180,204.88 AMOUNT APPROPRIATED $180,204.88 AMOUNT APPROPRIATED $180,204.88 SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. Councllmember Hutton presided with the following members present: Councilmembers: Elstro, Lundy, Brookbank, Hankinson, McBride, Parker, Morris, and Paust. Absent: The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented Proof of Publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the date of 22nd of September, 1989. Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the 2nd day of October, 1989, by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations in excess of the budget for the year 1989 within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The Proof of Publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilmember Morris moved the Proof of Publication be received and filed, seconded by Councilmember McBride and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 65-1989. President Hutton announced Ordinance No. 65 -1989 was on public hearing. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 65-1989 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes: Elstro, Lundy, Brookbank, Hankinson, McBride, Parker, Morris, Paust and Hutton Nays: None Absent: The vote being 9 to 0 in favor of the passage of Ordinance No. 65-1989.
