ORDINANCE NO. 76 -430
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ADOPTING A CHANGE
OF ZONE IN ZONE CHANGE CASE NO. 75 -457
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine, and
declare as follows:
(a) That the owners of certain real property
located in the City of Temple City, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, located at 8918,
8922 -8926 East Wedgewood Street and 8913 through
89492 East Broadway in said City, more particularly
described as:
Portions of Lots 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 21, 22,
27, 28, 36, 37 and 38, Tract No, 3623, Book
40, page 52 of Maps in the Office of the
County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State
of California
have heretofore filed an application for a change of
zone from R -1 and R -3 to C -2; and
(b) That the Planning Commission has heretofore
approved such change by Resolution 75- 666PC; and
(c) That the City Council conducted a duly
noticed public hearing on such application, that said
hearing was duly closed; and
(d) That based upon the evidence adduced at said
hearing, the Planning Commission files and applicable
staff reports, and each member of the City Council being
familiar with the proposed site, said City Council deter-
mines that the zone change . should be granted as applied
for, for the following reasons:
1. The proposed site has adequate
access and is otherwise suitable for com-
mercial development; and
2. The proposed zone change is com-
patible with existing development in the
vicinity; and
3. The proposed zone change is com-
patible with the General Plan of the City
and the Redevelopment Plan as adopted by
the Community Redevelopment Agency.
SECTION 2. The Zoning Code of the City of Temple City is
hereby amended to change the zone of the subject properties from
R -1 and R -3 to C -2 for the reasons hereinabove set forth.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City shall
certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and to its
approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published in
the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in the City of Temple City.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 20th day of January, 1976.

I, Chief Deputy City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do
hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance No.
76 -430, was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Temple City, held on the 6th day of January, 1976,
and was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council,
approved and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk
at a regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 20th day
of January, 1976, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Dennis, Merritt, Tyrell, Greenberg
NOES: Councilmen- None
ABSENT: Councilmen- Gilbertson
