A RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT CONTRACT
FOR PHASE I OF THE BELMONT ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
WHEREAS,the City of Riverdale, Iowa("Riverdale"), received five bids for Phase I of
the Belmont Road Reconstruction Project, a joint project with the City of Bettendorf,
Iowa(the"Project"); and
WHEREAS,the Project is a public improvement, subject to the Iowa Construction
Bidding Procedures Act, Iowa Code Chapter 26 (the "Act"); and
WHEREAS, Tschiggfrie Excavating Co. of Dubuque, Iowa("Tschiggfrie"), submitted
the low bid for the Project(the"Tschiggfrie Bid"); and
WHEREAS,the engineering firm Ament, Inc.,the project manager for the Project,
recommended that Riverdale award the Project contract to Tschiggfrie.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of Riverdale,
Iowa,that Riverdale determined that Tschiggfrie is the lowest responsive,responsible
bidder for the Project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa,that
Riverdale accepts the Tschiggfrie Bid and awards the Project contract to Tschiggfrie; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa,that
the Mayor and City Clerk shall execute all documents and take all steps necessary to
carry out this Resolution.
