Members Present: Jeff Doherty, Jeanette Thomson, Greg Maze, Amy Ritterbusch
Members Absent: Sue-Ellen Stoddard, Ria McNamara, Deb Fein-Brug (in attendance
but not sworn in)
Also Present: John Gelcich, Principal Planner; Marc Pillsbury, Applicant
Mr. Doherty called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
1.30 Main Street - Sign Application - Royal Pizza
Mr. Pillsbury presented the proposal for the sign at 30 Main Street.
Mr. Doherty asked if the colors shown are what is proposed. Mr. Pillsbury
said yes. The signs would be constructed the same as Chef’s Kitchen,
previously approved. The letters will be raised with white decorative trim.
Mr. Doherty asked about lighting. Mr. Pillsbury said it will be exterior,
existing gooseneck lighting.
Ms. Ritterbusch and Ms. Thomson commented on the contrast being well
done.
Mr. Doherty confirmed the square footage conformance. Mr. Pillsbury said it
does conform and will be the same size as the existing sign and the Hop-Yo
sign next door.
Ms. Fein-Brug commented that the fixtures may have faded and suggested
painting the fixtures to be the same color as the sign. Mr. Pillsbury said he
would talk to the landlord about that.
Ms. Thomson moved to approve the sign as submitted. Ms. Ritterbusch
seconded the motion. The Board voted unanimously to approve the sign as
submitted.
2.Minutes of August 26, 2020
The Board generally discussed the point brought up about the size of the
sign for 97 South Street and discussed bringing the issue up with ZAC.
Ms. Thomson moved to approve the minutes as written. Mr. Maze seconded
the motion. The Board voted unanimously to approve the minutes as
written.
The Board generally discussed the timing of the next meetings of DRB.
Ms. Thomson moved to adjourn. Mr. Maze seconded the motion. The Board
voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 7:20 PM.
