APPROVING CONTRACT WITH B&W CONSTRUCTION FOR
EMERGENCY REPAIRS
WHEREAS, thc Borough Engineer has advised the Governing Body that
emergency repairs need to be performed on two (2) sewer laterals serving the
Borough facilities and which are presently blocked; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer has advised that if said blocked sewer laterals are not
cleared that the same could potentially threaten the welfare of Borough employees
and residents occupying the facilities serviced by the sewer laterals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carterct, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that an
emergency contract with B&W Construction to repair the above described sewer
laterals at a cost not to exceed $10,000.00 is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to
the Borough Engineer and the Borough's Purchasing Department to effectuate the
purposes expressed herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution is subject to certification by
the Borough's Chief Financial Officer that funds are or will be available for said
purpose.
