AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING SECTION 9380 (A) OF THE TEMPLE
CITY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO PERMITTED
USES IN THE C -2 ZONE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Temple City does
hereby find, determine, and declare:
(a) That the Planning Commission has heretofore
determined that it is in the public interest., convenience,
and necessity to amend the Temple City Zoning Code to
clarify the nature .of automobile sales permitted in the
C -2 zone;
(b) That the existing provisions of the Temple City
Zoning Code do not so provide; and
(c) That the public interest, convenience, and
necessity require the amendment of the Temple City Zoning
Code in the manner hereinafter set forth.
SECTION 2. That subparagraph (8) of Section 9380(a) of
the Temple City Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"(8) Automobile sales of new cars (sale of used cars and
repairs incidental to the primary operation shall be permitted
provided the percentage of new car units offered for sale equals
at least 51% of the total number of car units in inventory on
the premises. The term "car" shall include recreational vehicles
for purposes of this section).:"
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City shall
certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and to its
approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published in
the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in the City of Temple City.

I, Chief Deputy City Clerk, City of Temple City, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance No 76 -439,
was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Temple City, held on the 2nd day of November, 1976, and
was duly passed, approved and adopted by the City Council at a
regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 16th day of
November, 1976 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen-Dennis, Gilbertson, Merritt, Tyrell, Greenberg
NOES: Councilmen- None
