ORDINANCE NO. 76 -441
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY PROVIDING FOR THE
AMENDMENT OF THE TEMPLE CITY ZONING CODE
RELATING TO FREE - STANDING SIGNS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Temple City does
hereby find, determine and declare:
(a) That the Planning Commission has heretofore, by
Resolution No. 76- 723PC, determined that it is in the public
interest, convenience, and necessity to amend the Temple City
Zoning. Code to reduce the maximum permitted height of free-
standing signs;
(b) That the public interest, convenience, and necessity
require the amendment of the Temple City Zoning. Code in the
manner hereinafter set forth.
SECTION 2. Subparagraph (d) of Section 9326(2) of the Temple
City Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(d) A free - standing sign shall not exceed a maximum
,height of twenty feet (20') where said sign
advertises a single business, nor a maximum height
of twenty -six feet (26') where said sign advertises
two or more businesses."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as provided by law.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of December, 1976.

I,Chief Deputy City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance No. 76 -441, was
duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a
regular meeting held on the 7th day of December, 1976, by the following
vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen - Dennis, Gilbertson, Merritt, Tyrell, Greenberg
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen -None
