Mr. Michael Counihan protested the amount shown on the water meter on his property at Estill Station. Superintendent Reed was instructed to check on this. Mr. Morris Levy requested that he be relieved of paying Interest and penalties on his 1964 taxes. It was moved, seconded and passed that it be granted. Councilman Lovell moved that the 1965 budget for the General Government operation and the Water Department be adopted. Councilman Waters seconded and the motion passed. Councilman Fleetwood moved that the Tax Ordinance for 1965 be adopted. Councilman Hosti seconded and the motion passed. Councilman Fleetwood moved that the License Ordinance for 1965 be adopted. Councilman Waters seconded and the motion passed. Councilman moved that the 1965 Begerage Ordinance be adopted. Council Hohenstein seconded and the motion passed. There being no further business the meeting adjourned subject to the call of the Mayor. Mayor Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Ga. May 6, 1965. A special meeting of Town Council was held today at 5:30 P.M. in the Council Room in the Town Hall and was attended by Mayor Brown, who presided, and Councilmen Fleetwood, Daniels, Lovell, Waters, Hohenstein, Town Attorney Solms. The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing and adopting a Resolution accept4ng funds from the Housing and Home Finance Agency in connection with #P-Ga- 3077. Councilman Lovell abstained from voting. The motion was passed: 2Q. A RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, has application No. P -Ga -3077 pending with the Housing and Home Finance Agency, and it is necessary that the town take certain action to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; and, WHEREAS, Form CFA -1901 must be executed by an authorized official of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, and submitted to the Housing and home Finance Agency. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, in council assembled, that the Mayor of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute Form CFA -;90; pf the Housing and Home Finance Agency Community Facilities Administration which relates to assurance of compliance with the Housing and Home Finance, Agency regulations under Title VI of the Vicil Rights Act of 1964. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of Council and a copy thereof attached to saidForm CFA -1901 and forwarded to the Housing and Home Finance Agency to accompany application No. P-Ga-3077 of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island. The regular meeting of Town Council was held today at 3 PM in the Council Room in the Town Hall and was attended by Mayor James A. Brown, who presided, and Councilmen Hohenstein, Fleetwood, Daniels, Lovell, Wateirs, Hosti, Town Attorney Solms, Jr., Supt. Reed, Chief Davis and Chief E. Solomon. The Invocation was said by the Rev. Truman Moore. The Mayor asked Mr. Reed if the warning signs had been placed along the sea wall and Mr. Reed stated that they had. The Mayor stated that at the northeastern area in Fort Screven the sea is cutting out the beach and mud is showing behind the rocks. The Mayor called attention to the lack of sanitary sewerage facilities on the east side of Twelfth Street and that Mr.Milton Cowart was contemplating building a home in this area and asked if there was a main running in this area along part of the strand.
