AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING THE TEMPLE CITY ZONING CODE RE-
LATING TO DRIVEWAY WIDTH
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Temple City does
hereby find, determine and declare:
(a) That the Planning Commission has heretofore determined
that it is in the public interest, conveience and necessity to
amend the Temple City Zoning Code to clarify the maximum per-
mitted driveway width;
(b) That the public interest, convenience, and necessity
require the amendment of the Temple City Zoning Code in the
manner hereinafter set forth.
SECTION 2. Subparagraph (b) of Section 9296 (13) of the Temple
City Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(b) No driveway shall be wider than the parking
area or structure it serves, provided, however,
that no driveway located within any front or
side yard area shall exceed twenty feet (20')
in width except for that portion thereof located
within twenty -five feet (25') of the entrance
to the parking structure it serves. Said drive-
way shall not be located at any point nearer any
side property line than the parking area or
structure it serves.
This section shall not apply to any driveway
serving a parking structure the entrance of
which is substantially perpendicular to the
front property line,"
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of January, 1977.

I, Chief Deputy City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance No. 76 -443, was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Temple City, held on the 4th day of January, 1977, and was duly passed,
approved and adopted by said Council, approved and signed by the Mayor
and attested by the City Clerk at a regular meeting held on the 18th day
of January, 1977, by the following vote:
AYES: •Councilmen- Gilbertson, Merritt, Tyrell, Greenberg
NOES: -Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen - Dennis
