Absent Lindaman Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve the Treasurer’s Report for February. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Van Heiden to approve the following bills for payment. The council approved of the committee selections and told Jennifer to proceed with contacting the people on the list. At 7:15 p.m. the Mayor determined that this was the time and the place for the public hearing on the proposed FY 2007 budget. Being there were no oral or written objections the Mayor closed the public hearing at 7:20 p.m.. Motion by James second by Van Hauen to approve the FY 2007 Budget as presented. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve Resolution 3-2006 a resolution awarding the lowest, most responsible bid to Water Tight Construction for project #2 in the Wellsburg Housing Rehabilitation Program. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Dorman Otte, and Doug Moss, USDA; Jim LaPlant and Kristi Wildung, Central Iowa Rural Water presented information regarding options for connecting to a rural water supply. The City Council will take this information into consideration and make a decision at a later date. Motion by Nielsen second by James to purchase a new line locator. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Hauen to hire Norman Venenga as Memorial Building custodian. Starting wage to be $7.50/hour. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve building permit for Snittjer Grain. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Van Heiden to approve curb cut for Steve Hippen. All ayes, carried. Verle Bohlen requested the property line marker that was removed during culvert repair be replaced. Van Heiden stated that he would relocate the marker and replace. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve liquor license for the Meadowbrook Golf Course. All ayes, carried. Motion to adjourn Nielsen second by Van Heiden.
