AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
ADDING SECTION 4245 TO THE TEMPLE CITY
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO PROPERTY
NUISANCES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. That new Section 4245 is hereby added to the
Temple City Municipal Code, to read as follows:
"4245. VIOLATIONS A MISDEMEANOR. Any person
owing, leasing, occupying or having charge or
possession of any premises declared and determined
to be a public nuisance pursuant to the provisions
of this Part, who fails to abate said nuisance
within the time and in the manner specified by a
resolution adopted pursuant to Section 4237 or
4238 hereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Any
person convicted of a misdemeanor under the provisions
of this Section, shall be punishable by a fine of not
more than Five Hundred Dollars, or by imprisonment in
the City or County Jail for a period not exceeding six
months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each
such person shall be guilty of a separate offense for
each 'and everyday during any portion of which any
such violation is committed, continued or permitted by
such person and shall be punishable accordingly.
The provisions of this section shall be cumulative
and not exclusive, and shall not effect the right of
the City to bring any additional civil or criminal
action otherwise authorized by this Part."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City
shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance
and to its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to
be published in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of
Temple City.

I, Chief Deputy , City Clerk of the City of
Temple City, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance,
being Ordinance No. 77 -445 , was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Temple City,
held on the 18th day of January ,1977, and was
duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved
and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a
regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 1st
day of February , 1977, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Dennis, Gilbertson, Merritt, Tyrell, Greenberg
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen -None
