HomeMy Public PortalAbout006-2013 - 2014 BudgetRESOLUTION NO. 6-2013 WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36- 4- 7 -6(1) requires each department head to prepare an estimate of the amount of money required for the ensuing budget year, stating in detail each category and item of expenditure he or she anticipates; and WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36- 4- 7 -6(2) requires the City Controller to prepare an itemized estimate of revenues available for the ensuing budget year and an itemized estimate of expenditures for other purposes above the money proposed to be used by the departments; and WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36- 4- 7 -7(a) requires the City Controller to present the report of budget estimates to the Richmond Sanitary Board of Commissioners pursuant to Indiana Code 6- 1.1 -17 and requires the Board of Commissioners, after its review, to prepare a resolution establishing appropriations for the estimated department budgets and other sanitary district purposes during the ensuing budget year; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the above requirements, the Board of Commissioners have reviewed the report of budget estimates through a series of meetings; and WHEREAS, the above applicable laws allow the Board of Commissioners to reduce any estimated item from the figure submitted in the report of the City Controller, but enables the Board to increase an item only upon the Director's recommendation. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of the Richmond Sanitary District, Richmond, Indiana, that for the expenses of said District and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 2014, the sums of money shown on attached reports are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the several fiends herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same. Such sums herein appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless otherwise expressly stipulated and provided for by law.
