AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING SECTIONS 3600, 3601 AND 3602 OF
THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO POUND REGULATIONS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Sections 3600, 3601 and 3602 of the Temple City
Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows:
3600. ANIMAL CODE.
Except as hereinafter provided, Ordinance 4729, as
amended and in effect May 31, 1977, of the County of Los
Angeles, being the Pound Ordinance of the County of Los
Angeles, be and the same is hereby adopted by reference
as the Pound Ordinance of the City of Temple City, and may
be cited as such. Three copies of said Ordinance No. 4729,
of the County of Los Angeles, as amended and in effect
May 31, 1977, are on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Temple City, and may be used and examined
by the public. Provisions of said Ordinance No. 4729, as
amended, relating to license, impound and other fees, are
hereby superseded and such fees shall be prescribed by
Resolution, adopted from time to time.
3601. POUNDMASTER.
Nothwithstanding the provisions of Section 3600, the
City Council shall specify the Poundmaster by Resolution
and Contract.
3602. ENFORCEMENT.
City personnel and the Poundmaster and any officer or
employee thereof, charged with enforcing the provisions of
this Chapter, are hereby authorized to take such lawful
action as may be required to enforce this Chapter, and are
hereby invested with the powers and duties of peace officers
of the City for such purposes.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as provided
by law.

Ordinance, being Ordinance No. 77 -449, was duly adopted by the City
Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting held on the
21st day of June, 1977, having been introduced at a regular meeting
held June 7, 1977, by the following vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen-Dennis ,Gilbertson,Greenberg,Tyrell, Merritt
NOES: Councilmen -lone.
ABSENT: Councilmen -None
