AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 52-2012 KNOV
THE 2013 SALARY ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-3 requires the Mayor to fix the compensation of each appointive officer,
other employee of the city departments, except police officers and firefighters, prior to Septer
ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council, and
WHEREAS, said statute allows the City Clerk to fix the compensation of the deputies and employees of th
prior to September 30 for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Counci
WHEREAS, the compensation fixed herein may not be increased during the budget year for which it is fix(
reduced by the Mayor for each appointive officer, deputy and other employee of the city depa
forth herein or by the City Clerk for employees of the Clerk's office; except by amendment of
Common Council.
WHEREAS, Common Council has previously adopted Ordinance 52-2012 to establish salaries for the year
now finds it necessary to amend the salaries and position titles of various departments.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that the

In addition to the positions set forth above, the Mayor and the City Department Heads may, as needed,
compensate part-time or temporary employees as permitted by their respective budgets. Compensation for these
range from $7.25 to $15.00 per hour.
ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION
In addition to the salaries set forth above, certain employees, excluding members of the Board of Work
and the Park and Recreation Board, may be entitled to additional compensation, such, as overtime, compensation
fringe benefits as set forth within the City of Richmond Personnel Policy or as stated in negotiated contracts
