Motion by Lindaman second by James to approve the minutes of the regular February meeting and the February 21st special meeting. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Heiden second by Meints to approve the Treasurer’s report for February. All ayes, carried. Motion by Meints second by Van Heiden to approve the following bills for payment. The Mayor Pro-tem announced this was the time and place for the public hearing on the FY 2006 budget. Being there were no oral or written objections the Mayor Pro-tem declared the public hearing closed. Motion by Van Heiden second by Lindaman to approve purchase of brooms for the street sweeper. Motion by Lindaman second by Meints to approve the renewing the franchise agreement with Alliant Energy and approve a 3% franchise fee. All ayes, carried. City Clerk will talk with Alliant about public hearing notices. Jayne Hall and Kasey Kahler, ICAP, presented information regarding the City’s insurance policy. After comparing proposals from ICAP and EMC Insurance a motion was made by Van Heiden seconded by Meints to renew the City’s insurance with EMC and keep the business with the Wellsburg Insurance Agency. Ayes Van Heiden, Meints and Nielsen. Abstain, Lindaman and James. Carried. Motion by James second by Lindaman to approve liquor license for Meadowbrook Golf Course. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Heiden second by Lindaman to approve a building permit for Ray Tessau. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Heiden second by Lindaman to renew the contract for garbage service with Blythe Sanitation. All ayes, carried. Motion to adjourn James second Van Heiden.
